Orders via our online store

For the processing of orders via our online store, the processing of personal data (name, address, contact and payment data) is required. We process this data exclusively for processing the order and, if desired, for opening a customer account.

A transfer of data takes place to the extent necessary to the company responsible for delivery (eg DHL) or the service provider responsible for payment (Stripe Inc. or Paypal Inc.).

For the operation of our online store, we use Shopify, a service of Shopify Inc, 126 York Street, Suite 200, Ottawa, ON, Canada, K1N 5T5. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). With full completion of the contract and full payment of the purchase price, your data will be blocked for further use and, unless legal requirements dictate longer storage, deleted. If you have created a customer account, your data will generally remain stored until you delete the customer account. If no orders are placed via a customer account for more than two years, we will delete the account including the data.

Newsletter

On our website you have the possibility to subscribe to a free newsletter. The data provided during registration (name, e-mail address and date of birth) are processed exclusively for sending the newsletter. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. a) DSGVO.

For sending the newsletter, we use MailChimp, a newsletter service of Rocket Science Group LLC, 75 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The data is stored on a MailChimp server in the USA. MailChimp processes the data on our behalf for sending and evaluating the newsletter. To evaluate the newsletter campaigns, the newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon", a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from a MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, e.g., information about your browser and operating system, as well as your IP address and the time of the retrieval may be collected. In addition, it can be logged whether the newsletter was opened, and which links the recipient clicked on. This information is used exclusively for statistical analysis and not for profiling. If you purchase products via our online store and provide your e-mail address in the process, we may use this data to inform you about similar products via a newsletter. The legal basis for this data processing is Section 7 (3) of the Unfair Competition Act (UWG).

The data transfer from Shopify to MailChimp takes place using the app ShopSync, LLC, PO Box 252, Jefferson City, TN 37760, United States of America. The personal information is not stored during the data transfer. The synchronization process requires the transfer of information over a secure connection to servers hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. During the transfer, the information remains encrypted. Your data is not stored or retained by ShopSync after synchronization. All information synced between Shopify and Mailchimp is transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, and all information transmitted remains encrypted during the sync process. After a sync, the synced information is not stored on our servers.

Inquiries via e-mail

When contacting us via the provided e-mail address, the personal data transmitted with the e-mail will be stored. This data is processed exclusively for the purpose of responding to the inquiry. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f.) DSGVO or Art. 6 (1) lit. b) DSGVO, if the request is aimed at concluding a contract. The data will be deleted when the purpose of processing ceases to apply, e.g., the inquiry has been conclusively answered.

Rights of the data subject

The persons affected by a processing of personal data have the following rights:

The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller the rectification without undue delay of inaccurate personal data concerning him or her. Considering the purposes of the processing, the data subject has the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data, including by means of a supplementary declaration.
